CD with Graphics discs require CD+G Karaoke players. This is the most common of all Karaoke discs. The words are shown on the TV and the sound comes from the karaoke player or alternatively through your stereo. CD+G discs will not play in DVD players.

This is the latest system and a growing format. The advantage of DVD karaoke discs are that they play on a standard DVD player! No special karaoke player is necessarily needed. Karaoke DVD discs display the words, and often a video, on the TV screen. DVD discs will not play in CD+G players.
